What is a Workplace Campaign?

For-profit and non-profit organizations, towns, and schools hold workplace employee giving campaigns—typically held in the fall of each year—to inform employees about UWMM and our work in the community. At information sessions called Campaign Presentations, we share information about the community resources we fund, speak about the opportunity for employees to invest their skills and time for the community by volunteering, and provide the opportunity for them to invest in this community impact work through payroll deductions.

United Way of Mid-Maine raises funds each year to support and help strengthen the communities and people who live in northern Kennebec, Somerset, and western Waldo Counties. The majority of those funds are raised through workplace campaigns.

Each fall, more than 100 local businesses run workplace campaigns to raise money for their communities. Each of those campaigns are run by volunteers like you. If you’d like to introduce a workplace campaign to your company, call us at 207-873-0686.
